Yaira Chamorro graduated from the Universidad de Guadalajara (University of Guadalajara) in Psychology and completed her Master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences at the Instituto de Neurociencias (Neuroscience Institute) of the same institution, with a specialization in Neuroscience.

During her training as a researcher, Yaira has assisted in the development of studies focusing on the executive functions, narrative coherence, bilingualism, illiteracy. Ms. Chamorro’s work focuses on analyses of the control of eye movements as a tool for neuropsychological evaluation, especially in relation to inhibitory control. On the one hand, she has examined the effect of sociocultural variables on eye movement control and, on the other, its application as an endophenotype of the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Also, she has participated in the standardization of instruments designed for neuropsychological evaluation. The results of her work have been presented at various forums both nationally and internationally. Ms. Chamorro has also given various courses at the undergraduate level.
