Lourdes Bolaños studied Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (Autonomous University of Guadalajara) (1998-2002). In 2006, she began her graduate studies in the Behavioral Sciences, with a specialization in Neuroscience, at the Neuroscience Institute of the University of Guadalajara, where she collaborates in the Neuropsychology and Neurolinguistics Laboratory. Currently, she is a candidate in the Doctoral program there. Her research interests center on the study of neurodevelopment in early stages of life under adverse conditions, and its effects on later neuropsychological development. The contributions of her academic work emphasize the characterization of neuropsychological profiles and the study of cognitive changes in relation to age in different populations, including schoolchildren born to mothers with gestational diabetes, and adolescents with Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The results of her work have been presented at various forums both nationally and internationally.

Ms. Bolaños has also given various courses at the undergraduate level. Recently, she has been working as a Technical and Research Assistant in the Neuropsychology and Neurolinguistics Laboratory.
